conj.(連詞)unless所引導的條件狀語從句常用一般現在時表示將來意義,主句多用一般將來時。unless在表示“除非”時,如其引導的從句謂語是be,而從句的主語跟主句的主語相同時,從句的主語和be就可省略。有時從句中主語為it時,也可省略it或從句中的有關成分。在unless引導的肯定形式的條件從句中通常用肯定詞,如:already, still, some, too。在unless引導的否定形式的條件從句中通常用否定詞。unless表示條件時後可接現在分詞短語。
